SIP launched the 2025 “119” Fire Prevention Awareness Month at the newly opened special-duty fire station in the free trade zone on Nov 6 to mark the National Fire Prevention Month that is observed nationwide in November each year.

A scene play was staged on site to demonstrate the emergency response to a fire accident caused by several electric bikes on fire and the potential safety hazards that might be caused by unauthorized modification of electric bikes.

Apart from that, a traditional pingtan performance was staged, spreading knowledge of fire prevention with rhythmed, tender Suzhou dialect.

It is learned that a series of publicity and volunteer campaigns will be carried out over the following one month to spread right ways of using fire and electricity among local residents and organizations.
